The floodlights can be set to highlight a clear-cut area at set times during the night or, if you wish, they can continue off and turn on when motion is cached which saves on electricity. The Floodlight Cam has a siren and brings a two-way conversation so you can connect with someone who has generated the motion detector from the console and security of your place. Now let's talk about some of the most common hurdles that you face regarding Ring floodlight.
1- What should you do if the light on the Floodlight Cam does not light up and flash?
Try to perform a hard reset. Hold down the top button for 15 seconds.
2- What to do if Your Floodlight Cam suddenly goes Offline?
First of all, figure out what is the main reason is it a network issue or a loss of power? If it is a network issue follow these steps
Step-1 Ensure that all of your wires are correctly plugged in and that all the lights on the front of the router are green.
Step-2 Ensure to see whether another Wi-Fi device is having a problem connecting to the network.
Disconnect your router for 30 seconds and then connect it back in.

How to Install Ring Device
- Step One - Installing the Floodlight Cam Bracket
To install the Floodlight Cam Brackets you need to first run the power cable from your house to the place you want to install the Floodlight. Then grab the mounting bracket and cut a small hole below so that the power cables can pass from there. Now put the screws which come along the Floodlight to fix the mounting bracket. Now that your mounting bracket is installed let's go ahead on the wiring.
- Step Two - Wiring Your Floodlight Cam
There will be three wires coming out- a white wire, a black wire, and the green or copper wire known as the ground wire. Use the included hook to hang the floodlight to the junction box. Place one end to the floodlight and the other to the junction box. First, take the green or copper ground wire and loop it around the green ground screw on the bracket and tighten to secure the ground wire then use the wire cup to secure it to the green or copper wire coming out of the junction box. Now connect the black wire on the junction box to the black wire present on the floodlight. At the end connect the white wire on the floodlight to the junction box and place the wire screw
- Step Three - Hang Your Floodlight Cam
Use the included hook to attach Floodlight Cam to your junction box by inserting one end through the mounting hole on your Floodlight Cam and the other end onto the mounting bracket.
- Step Four - Finish Wiring Your Floodlight Cam
Take the copper ground wire from your Floodlight Cam and loop it around the green groundnut on the Floodlight Cam bracket.
Connect the copper ground wire to the end of the green or copper ground wire coming out of your junction box with a wire nut.
- Step Five - Finish Installing Your Floodlight Cam
Now remove the hook and place the extra wire into the mounting case then position the floodlight over the mounting bracket, line up the mounting post with the
mounting bracket and press the post through the base of the floodlight cam. Make sure your floodlight cam sits firmly against your mounting bracket, then attach the screw cup nuts. Use the Ring screwdriver which happens to fit these nuts and tighten them until they are secured. Now set the cam according to the desired direction and then link it with the Ring app or website.

- Check the device setting in your Ring App.
- Is the device in a Group? Is the Alert option on for that Group?
- Is the device Linked to another? What behavior is it supposed to exhibit?
- Are the motion sensors enabled?
- Check your Bridge.
- Is it working?
- Is it too far from the Floodlight?
- Is it too far from your server?
- Check your batteries.
- Check your wifi.
One or more Floodlights are flashing on and off. What's going on?
There are several possibilities. Check the following items:
- Check your batteries.
- Check the area around the lights. There may be something in the area (like a small animal) that is triggering your lights.
- Check your motion sensitivity controls in the Ring app. You may have them set too high for your layout.
- Ungroup all of the lights with the malfunctioning light in it and see if the problem persists. Another light in the Group may be causing the malfunction.
A Floodlight is on and isn't responding to App control. What's going on?
There are several possibilities. Check the following items.
- Check your batteries.
- Check your Auto Shut Off control in your device controls in the Ring app. You may have incorrectly set the time on the control.
- Take yourself out of the equation. Leave the area for 10 minutes to give the lights time to reset without you triggering them and then return and check the lights.
